Who Is Kristal

I am a native Floridian who prefers moonbeams to sunlight, magick over science, and traipsing through enchanted forests in lieu of highways because unicorns and leprechauns are more compelling than concrete and tail lights. A night owl by nature, and an early riser by protest, I was forced to surrender my vampire card when the Consortium of Necrophiles exposed my garlic obsession.

Between tutoring fledgling dragons on the dangers of buzzing airport towers and moonlighting as a werewolf whisperer, I write imaginative and emotional love stories.

Pizza, rocky road ice cream, and Lindsey Stirling are the muses that fuel my soul. As well as M&M’s, Doritos, and iced tea; scones with strawberries and clotted cream; Scottish Highlanders, space captains, knights with dented armor, good-hearted cowboys, and things that go bump in the night.

People claim that I’m weirder than I look—an assertion I wholeheartedly endorse. Champion of the underdog, a friend of the forgotten, seer of the invisible, I believe imagination is the elixir of life. Slurp often, I do.

About Kristal Hollis

Kristal Hollis grew up in a rural, South Florida community sandwiched between cane fields, orange groves, and a big lake. Her books showcase small towns, family drama, bad guys who get their comeuppance, and an emotionally satisfying romance for the main characters.

A past Florida PRIDE winner, Beacon winner, Touch of Magic finalist and RWA Golden Heart® finalist, Kristal, her husband, and their rescued furbaby are living happily-ever-after in a little suburban cottage at the edge of the enchanted forest that inspires her stories.
